Prednicarbate

Steroids - Topical

Mechanism of action

After binding to the receptor, the steroid – receptor complex binds to chromatin and stimulates the formation of mRNA. The mRNA stimulates the synthesis of enzymes. The anti-inflammatory action is due to inhibition of prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis. The actions of Prednicarbate are

increased gluconeogenesis.
increased lipolysis
increased liver stores of glycogen
CNS effects, euphoria
increased haemoglobin synthesis
Restrict capillary permeability and maintenance of cardiovascular function
cause normal skeletal muscular function
anti-inflammatory action
suppression of immune response
stabilize lysosomal membranes
ant allergic action.
