Ultrasonography whole abdomen
The routine USG for medicosurgical purpose is done in a systemic way of performance. Unless and until, specified about target organ the sonographer usually include all the structures of the abdomen. Start with liver in all planes, kidney in short & long axis, spleen, pancreas,vessels, particularly IVC & Aorta with any visible LN in any group.Bladder has to be full for evaluation of genitourinary tract.
